In class, to get the real essence of Hamlet, method acting and modern language translation on Hamlet's lines were performed.
Method acting is when an actor or actress wants to become the genuine part for a role. They feel and become their part through extreme remembrance of past experiences to create a flood of emotions for a scene. They study a professional in the real life to become their role. They do their research on a role to fulfill the realness of their part. Method acting is an active and dedicated training for those actors or actresses to appeal to the audience and to not simply imitate the part but become the role. Method acting is to appeal a role as real.
Throughout history several modernized story plots of several of William Shakespeare's have been revised. Romeo and Juliet and the 50s movie West Side Story. Hamlet and the children's film Lion King. Modern day language translations reveal a relatable and more understandable plot, but the original piece of literature cannot be replaced, as past creations creates an inspiration for future entertainment endeavors. Hamlet has several various meanings and translations within the lines itself, as Hamlet never means one thing in one line. One line can mean five different things. Every individual can perceive and comprehend those lines differently within its denotations, connotations, and contents in the lines by itself. Going back and forth to the same line, the lines changes its implications and inferences. In other words, things are different when we are different. The difference of new information or a new mental idea that morph the meaning of lines. Hamlet is a plot that changes into a new meaning every time a class focuses into it. The same as it is with other literature, art, music, or shows.
