Week 9- Claudius

In several criminal justice shows the detectives or cops try to figure out the story and motives for a criminal's reasoning in why they did what they did. The psychological plot of the crime. The mental motive of the wrongdoing. Why the individual became a villain.
Claudius in Hamlet is considered the villain of the play's plot. He murders his brother through poison to gain and receive a crown, a kingdom, and a queen. He plots against Hamlet as he uses Laertes' anger to scheme an ambush towards Hamlet. Claudius attempts to kill Hamlet his own nephew through letters to the King of England. Claudius reveals himself as recklessly pursuing his selfish ambitions no matter what the cost to gain. That is his motive.
Hamlet is considered the detective of the Claudius' crime. Hamlet finds the info and pursues in struggling to find justification for his father's murder. He makes Claudius show his "tells" and "cards" through the set-up of the play staging of Claudius sinister secrets. The stage play was Hamlet's way of an indirect interrogation. Hamlet wants justice just as a cop or detective wants. Justice for his father’s untimely and wrongful death.
In various and several ways villains and heroes have some aspects in common. Hamlet and Claudius each have motives but with different meanings. Hamlet seeks justification, while Claudius seeks selfish ambition. Both Hamlet and Claudius obtain a story in why they do what they do. Villains and heroes have common features as each have their own meaning of reason for motive and output of a story.

Week 9- Story Series-Reawakened Part 3

*The following is the start of a story series not a real-life story*
Layla-
It has been months since the business card and tablet has arrived. Months since Jay and I's initiation into the agency. News of two local teens dying in a dirt bike accident have settled down and became just a past "tragedy". As far as the world knows, Jay and I are gone. Eli and Eva know our whereabouts and understand the decision of the situation. They have been placed into temporary foster care where their foster parents are a part of the agency and will keep them safe. In a couple of months Eli and Eva will move back to live with us here at the Quarters. The Quarters are the hidden "condos" for agent members. Because Jay and I are direct members and have been initiated into the agency and not Eli and Eva as they are considered indirect members under Jay and I, Eli and Eva can have a somewhat "normal life" all expenses paid for. As for Jay and I, normal is out of the question as tasks are completed for the agency with revolutionized technology unknown to the public world. Jay and I carry out orders for the agency using portable transporters and identification concealers. The ID concealers alter our appearance and we are easily transported with the portable transporters. If we are to transport publicly we attach a ghost device; this device makes us or our vehicles invisible. We take precautions for the tasks and missions the agency gives us, to not reveal this hidden world and not risk the safety of many others involved. The missions usually pertain to protecting information. No our life is not normal anymore, but our lives became reawakened with a new future.

Week 8-Time

“If you only had 48 hours left to live, would you spend it like you normally spend your weekends? If not, why spend 2/7th of your life wasting your free time? After all, free time isn’t free. Free time is the most expensive time you have, because nobody pays for it but you. But that also makes it the most valuable time you have, as you alone stand to reap the profits from spending it wisely.”― Jarod Kintz, I Should Have Renamed This.
Hamlet reveals a flood of emotions- anger, sadness, motivation, and even mad insanity throughout the play's plot through the characters. Hamlet has a re-occurring theme of a son's need to avenge for their father's death. The occurrence of held in bitterness and anger for revenge to justify wrongs with wrongs. Rage and ambition two things which creates a devastating and brutal outcome-no need for further explanations as it is self-evident in several aspects within the world. Hamlet has several ties towards the real life.
No one ever knows how long they have. They can be given estimates and calculations but some live less or more than those guesses. If Hamlet's father knew how long he had left would he accept it and how would he live his last days? Would Polonius want revenge for his accidental death at a place he was not even suppose to be in the first place, his own mistake? Every one has their last days. It is life's ways. As Hamlet implied to be is the answer as some individuals are scared at the very thought to consider while others accept it so easily they no longer fear death. What if Hamlet knew the last days of his father would he try to alter the discourse of destiny and fate? Would Laertes do the same?
Is it possible to extend someone's "expiration date"?

Week 8- Story Series- Reawakened Part 2

*The following is the start of a story series not a real-life story*

Jay-
All it was, was a business card with the almost transparent phrase New Start. No name, no number. I don't know how long it was in my pocket or how it got there but I do know Layla received one too. A card that opened a new world up, a world that revealed secrets. Couple days after the card, a tablet computer with holographic capability appeared at both our doorsteps.
The tablets had one message- "We have been watching and know the details of both of your situations. We can help if you work for us. Benefits for each of you and your siblings."
Was this our only solution, when every place brought bittersweet, haunting memories of our parents gone. We all wanted to get away but Layla and I was struggling to look out for the best interests of our siblings, was this it? Or will there safety be at risk? Would Eli and Eva want this? Did Layla? Did I?
Why we went with it we did not know but we did know we wanted a change, something different especially if it meant the best for our siblings.
We did not know that simple, useless card would bring a hidden world. An agency that works behind the scenes for the safety of the country, creates new identities for new purposes. It doesn't exist even the governments do not know. The only people who know are those notified who work for them, carrying out concealed tasks. Finish the task, leave no traces. But in order to be initiated into the agency, there were three steps. Step one-receive the card. Step two- receive the computer tablets. Step three-disappear to the world.

Week 7- Fall Break

During and throughout fall break, I am going to assist at a pregnancy center to start off my capstone project. At the center, I manage the donations and stock and supply the store at the pregnancy center. Not only will I help out with donation stock and supply management, I will also be performing administrative tasks with organization of program lesson plans.

This capstone project will expose me to the work environment of Human Resources/Services and will create a bridge an connection to something similar to what I want to do in my post secondary studies. Skills that will be used from my Career and Technical Education and academic skills are effective communication through the classes of Agriculture Leadership and English class. Also skills such as organization, a dedicated work ethic, and an active listener are skills needed and essential to perform administrative tasks and donation stock and supply management accurately and efficiently. The only difficulties would be transportation without overlapping any schedules, but I am determined to start this capstone project as well as finish it. The determination to finish what I started is advice I take seriously.
I will also look up some scholarships online through using specialized scholarship search engines and resources through the school's website. I am looking into applying to at least two scholarships during fall break.
I will use fall break to start off my capstone project and look for scholarships, while also resting a bit and obtaining energy for what the rest of the year has to offer and bring. Productivity and some relaxation will be gained during break.

Week 7- Story Series Starts - Reawakend Part 1

*The following is the start of a story series not a real-life story*
Layla-
I remembered the day they told us. The flashing lights and deafening ring of the sirens. The call from the hospital in the middle of the night. The official to inform us. The moment where two teens were expected to raise their siblings. To think that a few hours ago our lives were fine and normal. The words "I'm sorry" was not needed. They were gone both and each of our parents. At that moment I broke down, for the words gone seemed so distant but sudden. At that moment I saw the hurt in Jay's eyes for the thought of explaining the loss of his own parents to his little brother Eli. How was I going to explain it to Eva? How were we going to explain it? At that moment we both lost our parents, his and mine at the same time. Timing was against us. The world seemed against us as we all cried ourselves asleep. Staying at Jay's house brought a painful comfort as did it did the same for Jay and Eli staying at our house from time to time. This place felt empty- my home and Jay's filled with painful joy and joyful pain. The memories were just memories now. The day we thought they were just late coming home turned out to be more than we thought. The days we wanted to disappear but couldn't.We had no answers why it happened when it happened. We had no solution how to make it financially only being teens. We had no family to lean back on. Just ourselves.
That is until a solution was found. Until we were found.

Week 6- Method Acting & Translation

In class, to get the real essence of Hamlet, method acting and modern language translation on Hamlet's lines were performed.
Method acting is when an actor or actress wants to become the genuine part for a role. They feel and become their part through extreme remembrance of past experiences to create a flood of emotions for a scene. They study a professional in the real life to become their role. They do their research on a role to fulfill the realness of their part. Method acting is an active and dedicated training for those actors or actresses to appeal to the audience and to not simply imitate the part but become the role. Method acting is to appeal a role as real.
Throughout history several modernized story plots of several of William Shakespeare's have been revised. Romeo and Juliet and the 50s movie West Side Story. Hamlet and the children's film Lion King. Modern day language translations reveal a relatable and more understandable plot, but the original piece of literature cannot be replaced, as past creations creates an inspiration for future entertainment endeavors. Hamlet has several various meanings and translations within the lines itself, as Hamlet never means one thing in one line. One line can mean five different things. Every individual can perceive and comprehend those lines differently within its denotations, connotations, and contents in the lines by itself. Going back and forth to the same line, the lines changes its implications and inferences. In other words, things are different when we are different. The difference of new information or a new mental idea that morph the meaning of lines. Hamlet is a plot that changes into a new meaning every time a class focuses into it. The same as it is with other literature, art, music, or shows.

Week 6- The Definition

Humanity has many definitions. Several philosophers and theorists define humanity as wretched creatures, solely evil within. Others define humans as still pure within their core, but have lost their way because of circumstances. Humanity's definition in contrast and complexity.
Describe yourself- a question that makes several individuals stop and ponder in thought and maybe even hesitation for some before answering. A question that defines you and limits you within its boundaries in its response and answer in itself.
What defines a person? Is it their ambitions? Their name? The experiences they go through? Does a degree make a person? Or their job position? Is it a test grade or the clothes they wear that defines them? The literature we perceive? The musical lyrics we comprehend? Is it the art we find awe striking? The culture we grew up in? Or the place we absorbed lessons from? Is it the morals and virtues we are stubbornly fixed upon and hold on to? What makes a person? What defines a person?
Can we even define a person at all? Limit their core meaning. Is it even possible to find a single, exact definition that includes all aspects of a person, although that person is continually transforming and is a dynamic within itself. As time has shown us, change is constant, so is it worth it to determine a label on a person? A label and definition that would continually change its meaning and silently confine a person's meaning.
So what is your single definition? Or do you hesitate in your response? Or even define yourself as changing?
